Holy Magnetism

Magnetic Linen Wallcovering

One of the many reasons that I enjoy design magazines is the discovery of new products.  I recently ran across an ad for a magnetic linen wall covering from Weitzner Limited.  I just happen to be looking for something for an office backsplash and I thought this product would be great.  Much better than cork in terms of a being a more contemporary and streamlined look which is what I needed for this particular project.  I ordered samples in all 4 colors and was super impressed with the quality and could not wait to show my clients.  I was a little concerned that the price might be an issue (at $125 a yard with a 3 yard minimum that can only be purchased in 3 yard increments!).   But my client’s loved it! It's been installed (goes up like wallpaper) and looks amazing!  Check it out at www.weitznerlimited.com, search for “Magnetism” and have fun!!

Vitracolor Magnetic Marker Glass

I don’t have a project for this product yet… but I’m looking!  Skyline Design offers this innovative, creative, and eco-friendly Vitracolor back-painted glass.   This product comes in an array of colors that provide unexpected beauty you can write and post on. Ideal for marker boards, workstations, wall cladding—even tabletops, you can post photos, cards, and memos with magnets. Easy to clean and maintain, you can use it with any marker—no staining or ghosting occurs (according to their website).  Check them out at www.skydesign.com.  (Ummmmm… what about a kitchen backsplash???)
