The High Desert Design Council has decided to terminate our relationship with the Building Green Council of Central Oregon.
We will be keeping the name High Desert Design Council (which we registered with the state last year) and expect to receive our non-profit status soon.
The Design Center in Redmond (one of the HDDC’s Industry Partners) has graciously offered us the use of their space (free of charge) for meetings and events. We are considering this a good option for us. The HDDC Board is excited about the year ahead and plans to continue providing educational events, offering field trips, sponsoring Wine & Designs, and planning the proposed art show for HDDC members this fall.
Your continued support of the HDDC would be appreciated.
Membership dues for our newly formed non-profit will be:
$75 year for Designers and Charter Members
(Charter Members are all Industry Partners who belonged to the HDDC prior to March 26, 2010)
Designer is: person/company that practices the profession of design (architectural, landscape, interior) as their main business activity.
$150 year for Associate Members (Industry Partners)
Industry partner is: person/company that sells, deals, or provides a service to designers as their main business.
Dues are good for one calendar year (April 1 – March 31)
Designer Fee (and Charter Members) $75.00
Associate Member Fee (Industry Partner) $150.00
Checks should be made payable to:
High Desert Design Council
PO Box 2094
Bend, OR 97709
Dues payments to HDDC are not deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes, etc. Dues payments, however, may be deductible as ordinary business expenses.

We will be holding our first official meeting on Thursday, April 1st at 4:00 pm at the Design Center, 2127 Hwy 97, Redmond. We want to make this a fun event, so light refreshments will be provided. We look forward to seeing you there and to your continued support. The HDDC is the only professional design group in the High Desert, and we are excited to have this opportunity to network, learn and create.
Mission: To cultivate excellence in the practice of design, elevate sustainable design practices, professionally serve the public and offer philanthropic value to the local community.
Sincerely,
HDDC Board

Have you considered sending this as a press release to the Bend & Redmond newspapers? I would.
